About the role
We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our growing team’s. This is a senior, high-impact role, ensuring that credit risk and customer creditworthiness are assessed accurately in line with Resimac credit policy, while delivering exceptional service to introducers.
The role also acts as 2IC to the Credit Team Leader, supporting the team in day-to-day operations and helping drive performance, compliance, and process improvements.
What you’ll be doing
- Assess, recommend, and approve business loan applications within delegated authority.
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods or as needed by the team.
- Ensure compliance with Resimac Credit Policy, NCCP, AML/CTF, Privacy Act, PPSR, and other relevant regulations.
- Manage daily QA, hindsight, and compliance findings.
- Support the Credit Team Leader in setting and monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and team performance.
- Oversee credit workflows, inboxes, and documentation.
- Assist with onboarding, coaching, and development of Credit Analysts and Senior Credit Analysts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of credit systems, processes, and policies.
- Escalate matters outside of delegation in a timely manner.
- Minimise fraud, credit, and operational losses within the portfolio.
- Provide insights on portfolio performance, risk trends, and capacity planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with introducer partners.
About you
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a Credit Analyst role in commercial lending secured by assets/property
- Strong experience in equipment or asset finance lending, ideally with exposure to low-doc loans.
- Sound understanding of secured business loan products, loan structures (Commercial Loans, Lines of Credit, Premium Funding, Finance Leases, Chattel Mortgages, Rental/Operating Leases, Sale/Discounted Receivables).
- Strong financial analysis skills, including interpreting balance sheets, P&Ls, BAS, taxation portals, bank statements, and serviceability assessments.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including NCCP, AML/CTF, Privacy Act, PPSR, and Equifax.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong client service ethic and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in a flexible, fast-moving commercial lending environment is highly valued.
