About the role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Team Leader - Consumer (Auto and Novated) to join our growing Consumer Credit team at Resimac. This is a pivotal opportunity to step into a fast-scaling channel.
In this role will manage a flow of consumer asset finance deals, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliant, high-quality credit outcomes while supporting introducers, strengthening processes, and uplifting performance across the consumer portfolio.
As the volumes continue to grow, the position will evolve into a true leadership role with the opportunity to build out your team of Credit Analysts.
What you’ll be doing
- Assess, recommend, and approve consumer credit applications within delegated authority.
- Provide hands-on deal processing support during peak periods.
- Lead, coach, and develop Senior Credit Analysts and Credit Analysts.
- Ensure compliance with Resimac Credit Policy, NCCP, AML/CTF, Privacy Act, and relevant regulations.
- Oversee daily QA, Hindsight, and Compliance findings.
- Set, monitor, and manage KPIs and SLAs across the Consumer Credit team.
- Manage the Consumer Credit inbox, work queues, and workflows.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Drive continuous improvement across credit systems, processes, and policies.
- Escalate matters outside of delegation as required.
- Minimise fraud, credit, and operational losses within the Asset Finance portfolio.
- Provide regular insights on portfolio performance, capacity planning, and risk trends.
- Support and strengthen introducer partner relationships.
About you
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on credit leader who thrives in fast-growing environments and brings recent, practical consumer asset finance experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in a Consumer Credit role with lending delegation of at least $150k.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or senior mentoring capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of NCCP, AML/CTF, KYC, PPSR, Privacy Act, and fraud prevention.
- Advanced understanding of consumer loan structures including: Chattel Mortgages, Secured Consumer Auto Loans, Novated, Operating, and Finance Leases, Rental Agreements, Revolving Credit Facilities, Premium Funding Contracts.
- Advanced financial analysis capability across payslips, tax returns, BAS, P&L, balance sheets, bank statements, and serviceability.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong time management and organisational capability
