Job Description
About the role
Resimac are seeking a skilled Team Leader to join our Asset Finance Credit Team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of credit risk services in line with our policies and procedures. You will oversee the team’s performance, ensuring they are engaged and well-trained, whilst also meeting productivity targets. You will also drive improvements in credit systems and processes, provide feedback to leadership on performance metrics and risk trends and collaborate across teams while upholding leadership, teamwork, and organisational values.
What you will be doing
Prepare, assess and approve applications within delegation.
Set and measure KPIs for the reporting team members, providing ongoing regular feedback.
Keep allocated Credit Team regularly informed of any changes relating to processes, KPIs, SLAs, policy, or strategy.
Manage daily quality assurance, Hindsight and Compliance findings, and support allocated Credit Team in meeting the requirements of relevant policy.
Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Credit Inbox, Credit folders and Asset Finance work queue.
Assist in the onboarding, upskilling and training initiatives for Credit Analysts and Senior Credit Analysts.
Escalate matters outside set delegation & maintain a positive outlook.
Respond to questions and objections using logical arguments in a persuasive and influential manner to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.
Minimising fraud, credit and operational losses in the Asset Finance portfolio to below industry norms for given risk.
Desired Skills and Experience
What we are looking for
Proven experience in a credit Team Leader or leadership role.
You will be the type of person who can maintain focus and persist when faced with obstacles.
You have a solid understanding of loan structures including but not limited to personal & commercial loans, lines of credit, chattel mortgages, finance leases, secured property loans
Has a solid understanding of financial analysis including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, taxation portals, Business Activity Statements, Bank statements etc.
You have excellent communication skills and can adapt yourself to influence and engage stakeholders of all levels.
You are a team player who is willing to get their hands dirty and help out others where needed.
