Are you a recent accounting or finance graduate looking to launch your career in internal audit? This is a fantastic opportunity to join Resimac's Internal Audit team and build a strong foundation in risk, compliance, and internal controls, with on-the-job training provided.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you'll be part of a collaborative team that plays a meaningful role in providing assurance to Management and the Board. You'll gain hands-on exposure across a broad range of audit activities, working with stakeholders across the business and developing skills that will set you up for a rewarding career.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the planning and delivery of risk-based internal audit engagements
- Assessing the effectiveness of financial, operational, regulatory, credit and compliance controls
- Preparing audit workpapers and draft audit reports
- Assisting with tracking / follow-up of audit findings and agree management actions
- Supporting the Head of Internal Audit in preparing audit plans, progress reports and Audit Committee papers
- Contributing to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and tools
- Staying across regulatory developments and emerging risks in the financial services sector
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Recently completed (or near completing) a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
Skills & Attributes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and sound judgement
- Integrity and a genuine interest in risk and compliance
- Curious mindset with the ability to think critically and look for business improvements
- An interest in or exposure to financial services, banking or lending is a plus
No prior audit experience required — full on-the-job training will be provided.
